My name is Candice and I am a Public Relations Content Creator based in Rhode Island. I went to college to study something, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. After a few group projects and presentations, I realized that I wanted to do something in journalism, but I didn’t want to be the basic journalist. I am too creative for that. I honed my skill in creating content and meshed it with my journalistic skills, and voilà!

My interpersonal skills in a jarring environment won over my mentors and the referrals started coming in; and when those came in, it was like rapid gun fire, I had to drop, tuck, and roll. I was busy as a bee, and I am grateful.

I trained as a broadcast journalist at New York University in New York and worked in communications at startups and non-profit agencies in New York, before trading those to mind my own business, KandakeCreates.
